I seldom attempt to “arrange” groups of flowers for my portraits. This one seems to have worked.
We made it to the florists and obtained some sunflowers.
I took some black and white head shots of an actor friend recently. It occurred to me that I should do the same for this sunflower.
A bright sunny day around these parts. I wonder if this sunflower had anything to do with it?
Sunflowers present seemingly endless possibilities to this photographer. All those points and angles and subtle color variations. At the same time, I become frustrated with all the choices. In any event, here is today’s selection.
The anemone did not last as long as we had hoped. Fortunately we were presented with some sunflowers and, taking heed of old adages regarding spilt milk, birds, hands and bushes, we decided to add to the Sunflower Series.

I found a wonderful sunflower this morning. It seemed best to introduce it in this manner. There’s more to come, I hope.
